Common Problems with the Samsung Mini Split Air Conditioner
1 - Air Conditioner and Remote Control Miscommunication
If you're clicking on the remote control, but nothing happens with your air conditioner, it is possible there is a communication error between your Samsung AC unit and the control board. Miscommunications may also happen when your indoor unit performs a different operation from what you clicked on the remote control.
Miscommunications between the air conditioner and the remote control are common among mini split types. This is often caused by a blocked remote control sensor, or may indicate that the remote control batteries are running out of power.
To troubleshoot this, simply change the batteries of your Samsung AC remote, and see if that solves the issue. Make sure the sensor is pointed directly at the indoor unit, and there are no walls or obstructing objects between the remote control sensor and your Samsung AC indoor unit for a direct communication line.
2 - Air Conditioner Won't Turn On
If the air conditioner won't turn on at all, check the power supply of your indoor and outdoor unit. Oftentimes, the problem persists due to a malfunction with your circuit breaker box, causing poor electrical flow to power your air conditioner.
Check the fuse where your Samsung split system is connected to, and notice if other devices connected to the same fuse are having the same problem. If other devices are having the same problem, it means you have an electrical issue. You will need to contact an electrician to fix electrical issues before you can get your AC unit to function properly again.
3 - Air Conditioner is Not Blowing Cold Air
First, check to see if your Samsung split system is set to a cool mode instead of a fan mode. If your air conditioner is on cool mode but still won't cool the room, you may have a problem with a clogged indoor unit, dirty condenser, or frozen air conditioner.
Cleaning your air conditioner is the first step to solving the problem. Open the housing of your air conditioner, and check for any frozen coils or dirty filters. 4 - Fan Speed Won't Change
The Samsung mini split air conditioner features varying fan speeds that can be changed through the remote control. If the fan speed does not change despite clicking the buttons on the remote, you most likely have your air conditioner on the AUTO mode or DRY mode, which automatically changes the fan speed depending on the temperature and humidity in the room.
Setting your air conditioner to COOL or FAN modes will allow you to control the fan speed as necessary. If the problem continues to persist, check if your remote control batteries are dead, or if there is a miscommunication between the control board and the air conditioner, then refer to

Reset Point: Power Cord and Batteries
Resetting your Samsung Mini Split air conditioner is done at two points: the power cord, and the remote control batteries. Make sure your air conditioner is powered off before you do this. Unplug the power cord from the wall socket, and remove the batteries from the remote control. Wait 5 minutes, then plug in your power cord and place the batteries back into your remote control. Power the AC on to see if this solved some issues.
